A00293 - Alters the New York state canal mitigation task force. Passed the Assembly June 10, 2009.
JUSTIFICATION : This is a chapter amendment to chapter 336 of the laws of 2008. The current language regarding the appointment of members to the Citizen Advisory Board is
ambiguous. This amendment would make it clear that the Governor officially makes all appointments, with some members being appointed upon recommendation of
legislative leaders.
S02036 - Alters the New York state canal mitigation task force.
02/11/2009 REFERRED TO ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION. CNY Waterways note: There has been no activity on this bill.
Please contact your legislator! Neither the State Canal Flood Task Force or the Citizen Advisory Board has met at all.

NYS Governor has proposed a luxury tax on boats costing more than $200,000. Please send your state legislator a message that boaters should not be penalized with a luxury tax. If this goes through this could b $200,000. boats this year, $100,00. boats next year....who knows where a tax like this would stop! Send your legislator a message today. Time is running out!

The Citizen's Advisory Committee has been created to work with the State Canal Flood Task Force.
Canal Flood Task Force created to address flooding along the NYS Canal System.

PASSED! Thank you for making this happen!
The Clean Boating Act of 2008 is critical to the future of the boating community.
If not passed boaters across USA will be charge another fee just for owning a boat!
Go to www.boatblue.org for your voice to be heard. This legislation must pass before September 2008 to prevent an additional fee for recreational boaters.
