December 30, 2009 - To date the State Canal Flood Task Force has not met.
Neither has the advisory committee to the task force.
We understand meetings have been held up do to politics in Albany.
The goal is to create a flood mitigation plan.
This can't be done if these two bodies do not meet.
Please contact the Governor and your state legislators...
ask them to please get this moving along so a plan can be created.

CNY Waterways is your voice in Albany and as we all know numbers count when talking with our legislators. Each legislator has to consider the number of constituents a problem affects before helping. Therefore the more memberships CNY Waterways represents the greater success we will have in Albany.
