April 18, 2008 The Oswego River Basin is in really good shape for April. Compare the levels above with the levels of past years in the lower left side of this page. Things could change dramatically with a big rain storm.
When viewing the water level chart please note the "design (target) level". The design level is the ideal summer navigation level. On water bodies managed by the NYS Canal Corporation the design level was set by NYS. On all other water bodies the design level is set by each water body manager. When you experience flooding please take photos and date the photos. The only way it can be determined how different water levels affect different areas is by photos. Dates show us what the level was when the photo was taken.
